Sling TV Arrives On Google's Chromecast

Nov 03, 2015 by Ben Weinberger

It’s finally here! Starting today, Sling TV supports Google’s Chromecast, making it even more convenient for customers to stream the best live and on-demand programming to their TVs using their Android smart phones and tablets, iPhones and iPads. And don’t worry, Windows and Mac casters, we’re working on future compatibility for your laptops as well.

Since February, we’ve heard Sling TV users asking for Chromecast support. And, as we continue to build our device lineup, we are excited to offer yet another great solution for our customers to watch Sling TV.

Chromecast users can now navigate Sling TV channels on their devices to beam content to the big screen, without ever leaving the couch. This capability makes multitasking seamless, so you can watch your favorite TV shows and movies on Sling TV, all while continuing to use your smart phone, tablet or laptop for activities like texting or tweeting.

Even better, for a limited time, new customers can prepay for three months of “Best of Live TV” and receive a free Chromecast device.* Alternatively, new Sling TV customers using Chromecast will be able to take advantage of a free two-month trial of the “Best of Live TV” package, available from the Chromecast website later today.

Chromecast customers can now enjoy more than 20 channels, including ESPN, AMC, HGTV, TNT and A&E, by downloading the Sling TV app on a compatible device using the Google Play store, iTunes or through the Chromecast app. If you don’t currently have Chromecast, find out more here.
