Sling TV now available on Apple TV

Jun 13, 2016 by Ben Weinberger

The wait is over. The most requested device since we launched Sling TV has arrived. We’re live today from California at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) and excited to announce (drumroll, please) that Sling TV is now available on Apple TV (4th generation) delivering a live, linear and on-demand multichannel pay-TV service all within a single app.

Today is especially significant because it also marks the first time Sling TV customers can experience our new user interface (UI) debuting on Apple TV and rolling out to other devices in the coming months. Plus, we’ve added new content from FOX to our beta multi-stream service, and new channels from Viacom across our services.

What’s more, just in time for Father’s Day (and game 5 of the NBA Finals tonight for you sports fans), new Sling TV customers have access to an exclusive offer to purchase a 32GB Apple TV for $89 (originally $149) when they pre-pay for three-months of Sling TV.

Current Sling TV customers can download the Sling TV app directly from the Apple TV App Store on Apple TV. Similarly, new customers can sign up for a Sling TV account at and then download the Sling TV app on your iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.

We look forward to our customers’ feedback regarding their Sling TV experience on Apple TV, and are excited to introduce additional devices, features and channels in the coming year. To keep up with the latest announcements, bookmark this blog, like us on Facebook, or follow us on Twitter @Sling!
